Early 19th Cent Mahogany Fusee Bracket Clock

Description

A most attractive and unusual early 19th Cent fusee bracket clock. The case is in mahogany and the top is carved to represents a sheaf of wheat. It has smart brass mouldings and fretted side panels with decorative carrying handles. The dial is signed William Packer of Oxford Street, London. He is listed as working there around 1839.

The two train fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell. It has an attractive painted convex dial with nice fine moon hands.

Both the case and movement are in good condition and it is keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

53cm(21") high

30cm(12") wide

17cm(6.5") deep
