Gents 9ct Gold Watches of Switzerland Watch, 1961

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 9 carat gold watch by Watches of Switzerland.

The watch has a 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. It has a 9 carat gold case and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1961. The front of the case is in good condition for an early 1960s piece with just minor surface marks. There are some surface scratches to the case back.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has the raised Watches of Switzerland logo and is also signed. It is in its original finish with original dauphine shaped hands and a centre seconds hand. There is some faint freckling across the dial.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
