A Vintage 1926 Gold Filled Elgin Stem Winding Pocket Watch.

Description

A vintage 1926 gold filled Elgin stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a stem winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is within 2 – 3 minutes over a 24 hour period. The movement is signed Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. U.S.A. and numbered 28846434 which dates the watch to 1926.

The case measures 50.6 mm diameter excluding the stem. The case is stamped Balco, gold filled.The case has a screw on front and back and has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The glass lens is in nice condition.

The silvered dial is signed Elgin and has light surface scratches.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

Price includes worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
