Original Swedish Mora Longcase Clock

19th century
Description

A very original Swedish Longcase clock from the Mora district. It has a waisted case, with a balloon hood and top cresting. The door has a circular lenticle to view the pendulum. The case retains its original folk art decoration,dated 1834, the movement and dial are also original as are its unusual shaped weights. The dial is signed A.A.L. for And. Larson. It has a near week duration movement that sonds the hours on two melodic bells.

Current Condition

The case is in excellent and unusually good original ondition, the movement is original and in working order. If you would like a video clip of theis clock striking and ticking please email us.
