Description

A good sized French bell striking mantel clock, that was originally made for the British market. It has a waisted shape case, having tortoiseshell inlaid with brass and embossed brass applied decoration. The enamel dial has hand painted floral decoration and has a fine embossed bezel and sight ring. It has an 8 day, hour and half hour bell striking movement, stamped by the maker Japy Frere.

Current Condition

The case has been revived, the brass inlay has been lacquered so it will not tarnish, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
