Gents 1950s Elco Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A charming gents 1950s Elco wrist watch in lovely condition.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, with 17 jewels, which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around one minute or so over 24 hours.

The watch measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The watch would suit a gent with a slimmer wrist, or it could be worn by a lady, as it is on the smaller side as per the fashions of the time. The case is rose gold plated and the condition is good with just minor marking.

The lens is in very nice condition.

The dial has plenty of 1950s character and appeal with rose gold coloured numbers, original hands and centre second hand with a pointer end.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
