Description

For sale is this fantastic rare WW1 period vintage Lorry or Car clock, probably military, by S Smith & Son Ltd, ref no 258-8942. This clock can be found in advertising material on S Smith & Son clocks under this ref no on the internet. S Smith & Son Ltd supplied clocks and watches to the full range of military services during WW1. The clock appears to be mounted on its original section of dash board and mounts as a desk clock. Full brass hinged case appox 90mm in diamter by 90mm tall including wood back section. The clock has a very fine S Smith & Son clock movement and just just been fully serviced and is in full working order. The original fully signed dial is in excellent unrestored condition and retains its original deep blued hand set, and its original undamaged bevelled glass. This will make the ultimate gift as a desk clock to anyone who likes WW1 history or WW1 period motor vichicle history.
