Antique English 1908 Silver Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique silver pocket watch with English ¾ plate movement.

The stem-winding ¾ movement is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1908, with a maker's mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The front of the case is in good condition. The back has some unevenness; there is a central cartouche with monogrammed initials.

The plastic lens is in good order.

The watch has a white enamel dial, with some short hairline cracks to the bottom, blued steel hands and an outer minute track.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
