Gents 1920s Roamer Wrist Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A gents 1920s Roamer wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around three minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is rolled gold and was originally 'warranted 10 years'. The inside of the hinged case back has the LTG stamp which dates the watch back the late 1920s when case making was moved in-house at Roamer. The case has light surface marks and some small indentations to the back, and also some rubbing and wear to the plate around the bezel and behind the winding crown.

The lens is in good condition.

The enamel dial is signed Roamer, Non-Magnetic, Swiss Made. There is a hairline crack running across the dial. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A later black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
