Gents 1950s Junghans Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents Junghans wrist watch from the 1950s.

The watch has a calibre 93/1 hand-winding movement, signed with the Junghans star logo, which is working nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated with a stainless steel back; the case is in good condition with just light surface marks. The lens is in good condition too.

The two tone dial has a distinctive look with lots of vintage appeal. Dauphine shaped hands, red centre seconds and a date display (initially set by winding the hands forwards). There is a little light marking to the dial but overall the condition is very acceptable.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
