Regency Fusee Bracket Clock

19th century
Description

An impressive mahogany and brass inlaid bracket clock from the Regency period. The dial is signed for James Trendell of Reading. He is listed as working there from 1819 to 1837.

The clock stands on brass ball feet and is veneered in nicely figured mahogany with good quality brass inlay. It has a cast brass bezel with lock and key.

The 8 day fusee movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a painted convex dial with moon hands. The brass pendulum has fine adjustment and a hold fast screw for transportation.

The case is in good condition with all the brass inlay present. It has the odd veneer chip, particularly round the back door but this is not very noticeable.

The movement is running perfectly and keeping good time. It has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months (return to Watlington)

The maximum dimensions are:

54cm(21") high

29.5cm(11.5") wide

15cm(6") deep

Free local delivery (75mls), national and international delivery arranged at cost.
