Lady's Vintage 9ct Gold Wrist Watch, 1937

1920 - 1940
Description

A lady's 1930s 9 carat gold wrist watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around three minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 21mm wide excluding the winding crown and 21mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1937, with a maker's mark for the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case is in good condition for a 1930s piece with just general light surface marks.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has a lovely vintage look with raised numbers and Breguet style hands. There are some minor marks to the dial but it is all very acceptable.

The watch has a vintage black leather strap.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
