Description

Antique gents 1915 WW1 silver trench watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours. The jewelled movement is stamped Swiss made.

The watch measures 35 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is sterling silver and there are import marks inside the case back for London 1915, with the importer's mark GS (George Stockwell). The case has light surface marking to the front and some surface marking to the back but overall the condition is good for a WW1 piece. The back case hinge has an old repair although hardly noticeable and very strong.

The watch lens is plastic and is in nice condition.

The watch has an enamel dial which is in good order with only the odd minor mark. It has its original blued steel hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.
