Gents Longines Wrist Watch, 1941

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents early 1940s Longines wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away happily and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes which is very acceptable for a watch of its age. The movement is signed Longines and it has the serial number 6237607 which dates it back to 1941.

The watch measures 30mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. By today's standards, it is a smaller watch which would suit a man with a slimmer wrist. The case is stainless steel. It has some small marks but overall is in good condition for a 1940s piece. The screw-on case back has the Longines name on the inside and the outside has been engraved with the initials VWG and a number.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Longines, 15 Jewels. There are little dots across the dial and some marking.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.
