Gents Omega 30t2 Wrist Watch, C1944

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents 1940s Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, 30T2, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Omega and it has the serial number 10,046,576 which dates it back to around 1944.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case was made by the English watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The bezel and snap-on case back are stainless steel; the central part of the case is nickel which would have originally been plated but this has worn off over the years, which is quite usual considering its age. The case back has light surface scratches and there is marking to the finish on the winding crown.

The lens has minor marks but is very acceptable.

The dial has been professionally re-finished and looks very good.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
