Vintage Cyma Admiral Silver Pocket Watch, 1931

1920 - 1940
Description

An early 1930s silver Cyma Admiral pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is ticking away strongly and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement, ref 999, has 15 jewels and it is signed with the Admiral name.

The watch measures 48mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the snap-on case back for Birmingham 1931, together with the maker's mark for the English Watch Case Manufacturing Co. The case has general surface marks from use but overall is absolutely fine for a 1930s piece. The loop is not silver.

The watch glass is in lovely condition.

The signed enamel dial is in very good order too. Blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
