The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1870s.
A winding key is included. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London 1871, with a case maker's mark of IH for the London based silversmith John W Hammon. The case has engine turned detail to the back and a small vacant cartouche to the centre. The case is in good condition with just a little gentle unevenness to the back.

The watch glass is in good condition.
The off-white dial has two areas of damage next to the sub seconds dial, and hairline cracks to the outer ring and to the sub seconds dial.
