The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.

The watch has a key-winding Swiss made movement which is ticking away strongly and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool and it is protected by an inner hinged cover. A winding key will be included.

The watch measures 53mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the back covers for London (import mark), 1919 with an importer's mark for George Stockwell. The case is in good condition for its age with just general surface marks from use and a couple of small indentations to the back.

The plastic lens is a later replacement; it is in good order.
The dial has a charming look. It is signed Thos Russell & Son, Liverpool, Tempus Fugit (time flies), Swiss Made. It is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds and an outer minute track.
