Inlaid Mahogany "Balloon" Mantel Clock

1900 - 1920
Description

A very clean, quality "Balloon" shaped mantel clock.

A white convex enamelled dial with black Roman numerals and an outside minute ring marked at the quarters together with very fine cut hands. A cast brass bezel with a convex bevelled glass.

The 8 day timepiece movement with platform escapement has just been fully serviced by our BHI registered staff.

The mahogany case retains it's original French-polised finish and has a lovely patina. It is inlaid with boxwood stringing and a Sheraton style cartouche. The clock stands on 4 brass bun feet.

The clock is signed to the dial "SEARLE & CO. Lombard St. LONDON."
