Vintage Syren Full Hunter Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A 1920s Syren full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Syren and it is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is gold plated, and is the Moon model from the English watch case maker Dennison. The case has light scratches but overall is in very acceptable condition for a 1920s piece.

The lens is a later plastic replacement which is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has a faint hairline crack running upwards from the centre, and some small marks. Blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
