The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover. A winding key is included with the watch.

The watch measures 38mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Swiss hallmarks inside the two case backs. The case is exquisitely detailed and the condition is very good.

The main surface of the watch glass is in good condition although there is a 0.5cm chip underneath.
The enamel dial is very pretty with gold, silver and red detail. There is a hairline crack running across the dial. Blued steel hands.

The watch comes on charming albertina; the albertina is Continental silver and of a lower purity than sterling silver. The longer chain measures 28cm long plus a short piece of chain leading up to the button which fastens to the jacket or waist coat. There is a small old wire repair to one of the chains but the overall strength of the three chains is not affected.
