Vintage 1930s Thomas Russell Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A vintage 1930s Thomas Russell gold filled pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to around 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Thomas Russell & Son, Liverpool, jewelled and Swiss Made.

The watch measures 50.6 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is stamped Star, Dennison Watch Case Company Ltd. English make Guaranteed to wear 10 years. The inner dust cover has monogrammed initials and is dated 1937. The case has light surface marks from use but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch lens is plastic and is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Thomas Russell & Son Liverpool with Swiss made at the bottom. The dial has slight nibbling under the bezel but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
