Flame Mahogany Georgian Jersey Longcase

Description

Louis Poignand was a Huguenot refugee from Poitiers France born 1733 and moved to Jersey circa 1781. He was later joined in the clock making and goldsmith business by his son Peter in 1807.

Circa 1780-1800 Solid Mahogany Case of Flame Mahogany with very attractive knot decoration to the centre of the door and Birds on the Painted Dial with Seconds and Date.

The Approx Dimensions are.......

Height to include top Finial: 85.5 inches

Max Hood: 19.25in

Trunk: 13in

Max Base: 17in

Depth: 8.3in
