Vintage Swiss Gold Plated Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A vintage 1910s Swiss gold plated pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to around 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped 15 jewels, Swiss made and patent 28109; this relates relates to a 1903 patent for a visible balance.

The watch measures 50.6 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is stamped Star, Dennison trade mark, English make Guaranteed to wear 10 years. The case has light surface marks from use and a couple of small dents to the edge of the back but otherwise it is in nice condition. The inner dust cover has light surface marks from use and a small "ding" to the edge of the back.

The watch lens is glass and is in nice condition.

The dial has Swiss made at the bottom and has a faint hairline crack at 5 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition. It has its original blued steel hands.
