Gents 1950s Certina Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Certina wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, with 17 jewels, which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Certina.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated; there is some wear to the plate, and some marking.

The lens is in good condition.

The black dial is signed Certina; it is in good condition. The photos show white marks but these are barely visible to the naked eye; the camera has emphasised them because of the black background - in real life, the dial and lens are in super condition. Some of the infill has come out of the minute hand.

A new lens has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
