1950s Oris Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A 1950s Oris wrist watch.

The watch has a seven jewel hand-winding movement, calibre 461, which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Oris Watch Co, Swiss.

The watch measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. It is a smaller sized watch which would suit a gent with a slimmer wrist, or it could be worn by a lady. The case is plated and has general surface marks and some scratches although acceptable for a 1950s piece. The snap-on case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is in lovely condition with just a little discolouration to the sub seconds dial and to the luminous paint dots next to the numbers.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
