Gents 1940s Buren Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents 1940s Buren wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 14 movement (the older calibre 14) which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 22mm wide across the main body (excluding the winding crown) and 30mm high excluding the eye catching haunched lugs. The case is in stainless steel and the condition is good for such an early piece with just minor marks. The curved lens is in lovely condition.

The dial has lovely vintage character and is in nice condition with blued steel hands, a square subsidiary seconds dial and square outer frame with minute markers which has a feel of Art Deco about it.

A later dark brown leather strap has been fitted.
