Gents 1940s Syla-watch Wrist Watch

Description

A gents 1940s Syla-Watch wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated and there are some marks to the front and sides. The back of the watch has more significant marking and signs of wear. The screw-on case back is stainless steel and it states that the watch is water protected but, as with any vintage watch, I would not treat it as such.

The lens has the odd small mark but is very acceptable.

The copper coloured dial is signed Syla-Watch, 15 Jewels. There is some marking and darkening but overall it has charming vintage appeal. The minute hand has some discolouration.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
