The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.

The watch measures 21.5mm wide excluding the winding crown and 36mm high including the lugs. It is quite small for a gent's watch so would suit a slimmer wrist, or it could be worn by a lady. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks on the back of the watch although they are rubbed and difficult to read. The case is in good condition for its age with just the odd minor mark, and some surface scratches to the hinged back.

The lens has very light marks, barely visible to the naked eye.
The dial is subtly textured and has Art Deco influence with a square minute marker frame and a square edge to the subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel hands. There is some light discolouration to the dial but it has a lovely vintage look.
A later brown leather strap has been fitted.
