Gents 18ct Gold Record Wrist Watch, 1934

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents 18ct gold Record wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, calibre 170, which is ticking away well and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 23.5mm wide excluding the winding crown and 31mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 18 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Glasgow (import mark), 1934. The case has some marks but overall is very acceptable for such an early piece.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has some Art Deco influence with a square outer minute track and also a square subsidiary seconds dial. Handsome blued steel hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
