The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The movement is stamped Made in England.

The watch is a good size for a 1950s piece at 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated; there is some wear and marking commensurate with its age. The screw-on case back is stainless steel and it has a few scratches; it also states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be treated as not being waterproof.

The lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed Smiths De Luxe, 15 Jewels, Made in England. It has an interesting two tone effect, and the darker centre section has ridges (as on an LP). Original dauphine style hands and a subsidiary seconds dial.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
