Late 19th Century Brass and Porcelain Panel Carriage Clock

Description

A late 19th century timepiece carriage clock, having a corniche case with a reeded top handle, an oval top window and a front bevel edge glass. The dial, sides and back door are inset with hand decorated ceramic panels with raised gilt decoration and paintings of cupid. It has an 8 day timepiece movement with a cylinder platform. (France, c. 1890)

Current Condition

The case has been polished and lacquered so that it will not tarnish,all the panels are in perfect condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.

8.00cm wide 15.00cm high 6.50cm deep (3.15 inches wide 5.91 inches high 2.56 inches deep)
