Gents Omega Wrist Watch, 1961

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents early 1960s Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 510, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Omega Watch Co, Swiss and it has the serial number 17,464,151 which dates it back to 1961.

The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated; there is some rubbing to the plate on the lugs and around the winding crown but it is not very noticeable to the naked eye. The winding crown is a later replacement. The case back is stainless steel; it has the Omega triangular stamp on the inside.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has the applied Omega logo and is also signed Omega, Swiss Made. There is some very minor marking to the dial but it is hardly visible to the naked eye. Original hands.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.
