Gents Longines Silver Arrow Wrist Watch, 1957

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Longines Silver Arrow wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 23ZS, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Longines, Swiss, 17 Jewels, and it has the serial number 10,431,031 which dates it back to 1957.

The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and the case is in good condition for its age with just the odd mark, and some scratches to the back. The inside of the case back and the winding crown both have the Longines name.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has the applied wings logo and is also signed Longines, Silver Arrow. The dial has darkened with age and there is freckling across it but overall it has a charming vintage look.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
