The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The movement has the Rotary logo.
The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the fixed wire lugs - it would probably suit a gent with a slimmer wrist. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Glasgow (import mark), 1932. There are surface marks to the case but overall the condition is very acceptable for a 1930s piece. The lens is in very nice condition.
The dial is enamel and the unusual pattern reflects the shape of the cushion case. Handsome blued steel hands and a subsidiary seconds dial - the hands are initially set by holding the crown out while turning the hands clockwise. There are a couple of faint hairline cracks to the dial.
A later black leather strap has been fitted.
