The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has hand-winding movement, calibre 27.
The movement is signed Longines, Swiss Made, 15 Jewels, and it has the serial number 5,354,246 which dates it back to 1935.

The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs. The size means that it would suit a gent with a slimmer wrist. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1936, with a maker's mark for the popular English watch case maker A L Dennison. The case is in lovely condition for a 1930s piece with just general light surface marks.

The lens is in very nice condition.
The dial has the original retailer's name of Searle & Co Ltd, London, EC together with the Longines name. The dial is in good condition, perhaps a little age related darkening, and it has handsome Breguet style hands.
A new brown leather strap has been fitted.
The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
