Gents 1930s Art Deco Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents 1930s Art Deco wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 24mm wide excluding the winding crown and 42mm high including the lugs. The case is gold filled. There is some rubbing to the plate on the angled edges, and some marking, but overall the condition is acceptable for such an early piece.

The dial has a lovely Art Deco stylised appearance with square numbers, a rectangular subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. The hour and minute hands are a charming feature.

A new dark brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
