Early 19th Century Mahogany Bracket Clock (London, C. 1820)

Description

A very original English mahogany bracket clock. It has a break arch top case, with a heavy brass carrying handle, an arch door with a brass inset sight frame. It has Gothic tracery brass side frets, and adjustable brass ball feet. The white painted enamel dial is sign by the maker William Collier of London, and has a strike/silent feature within the arch, . It has a twin fusee movement that strikes the hours n a bell, with a calibrated Thwaites style pendulum.. It also has an hour repeater cord.

Current Condition

The case has been revived and wax finished, the dial has been professionally restored and the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking and ticking please email us.
