Gents 1950s Vintan Hand Winding Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A vintage 1950s gents Vintan wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within 2 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped Vintan, 17 jewels, Swiss.

The watch measures 34.8 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and 40.4 mm high including the lugs. The gold plated case has light wear and pitting although it has a good vintage look. The stainless steel case back is stamped Vintan.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Vintan Watch, 17 rubis with Swiss at the bottom. The dial has light discolouring and faint surface marking but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original hands.

The watch has a later black leather strap.

Price includes free worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
