Lady's 1940s Swiss Hand Winding Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A vintage 1940s Swiss made wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within 2 - 3 minutes over a 24 hour period. The jewelled movement is stamped 15 jewels, Swiss made.

The watch measures 27.5 mm wide excluding the winding crown and 27.5 mm high excluding the wire lugs. The plated case has some wear to the finish, particularly to the back, and some pitting although acceptable for a 1940s piece.

The plastic lens is in nice condition.

The dial is in its original finish and has faint surface marking although hardly noticeable. It has its original Breguet style hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
