Vintage 1940s Eme Hand Winding Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A vintage 1940s Eme wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within 2 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped fifteen 15 jewels, Swiss.

The watch measures 30.8 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. It was originally made as a gents watch but would suit a slimmer wrist and would also work as a ladies watch. The plated case has some wear to the finish although it has a good vintage look. The case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Eme ancre 15 rubis with Swiss at the bottom. The dial is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark. The dial has a later hour hand although still vintage.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
