The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch is a good size for a 1950s piece at 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1959, with a case maker's mark for the British Watch Case Company. Both the case and the lens are in good condition.

The dial is signed Majex, 17 Jewels, Incabloc (a form of shock resistance), Swiss. It has a charming vintage appearance with raised numbers, original hands and a subsidiary seconds dial.
A new brown leather strap has been fitted.
