Gents 1950s Hefik Hand Winding Wrist Watch

A vintage 1950s gents Hefik wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, with 17 jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours.

The watch was originally made as a gents watch although it would suit a slimmer wrist and would also work as a ladies watch; it measures 31 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The gold plated case has light surface marks from use and light wear to the edges of the lugs but overall it is in nice condition for a 1950s watch. The case back is stamped stainless steel back, Swiss made, antimagnetic, incabloc and waterproof although, as with any vintage watch, I would not rely on it still being waterproof.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Hefik, 17 jewels, incabloc with Swiss at the bottom. The dial is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark; it has its original hands (some of the infill has fallen out over the years), and red centre seconds hand.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.
