Gents 1940s Limit Hand Winding Wrist Watch

Description

A vintage 1940s gents Limit wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped 15 jewels, Swiss made.

The watch measures 32.5 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and 38 mm high including the lugs. The chrome plated case has some surface marking but overall it is in nice condition for a 1940s watch. The case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Limit with Swiss made at the bottom. The dial has slight discolouring although hardly noticeable but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
