Gents 1950s Solo Hand Winding Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A vintage 1950s gents Solo wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within 2 minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped seventeen 17 jewels unadjusted.

The watch measures 32.6 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and 38 mm high including the lugs. The chrome plated case has some wear to the finish although it has a good vintage look. The case back is stamped stainless steel back, antimagnetic and dustproof.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Solo, 17 jewels, antichoc with Foreign at the bottom. The dial is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The watch has its original hands.

The watch has a new brown leather strap.

Price includes free worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
