German Ww2 Festa Pocket Watch, Probably Uboat Issued, Circa 1943

Description

For sale is this very rare German WW2 Festa pocket watch, probably Uboat issued circa 1943. Measuring approx 55mm in diameter being fitted with the 263 movement and these styled hands indicate that it was almost certainly pushed into Kriegsmarine service as the war progressed. Fitted with a nickel silver front bezel, snap case back and cover but with the economy alloy centre section. Fully working and keeping excellent time, it is in unrestored original condition but has had a hard life as shown by the markings to the alloy case, probably from trying to open, and also three or four very faint hairlines to the dial.
