Vintage 1930s Art Deco Stem-winding Pocket Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A vintage 1930s Art Deco stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to around two minutes over a 24 hour period.

The watch measures 48.8 mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and it has an Art Deco geometric design to the back and dial. The case is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark. The inner dust cover has light surface scratches where it has been opened over the years but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch lens is glass; it has the odd mark but is acceptable.

The dial has a good vintage look with gold Arabic numerals, an outer minute marker with 24 hour numerals, and original handsome Breguet style h ands. The dial has darkened with age and has some marking but overall it has a charming Art Deco look.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
