Geo III Oak and Mahogany Moon Dial Longcase Clock

19th century
Description

A lovely quality oak and mahogany longcase clock. It dates from around 1800 and is by Smith of Birmingham.

It has the best quality case I have seen on one of these provincial clocks. It is in very original condition with its original finish and is a lovely colour.

The 8 day movement has a decoratively painted dial with a subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator. It also displays the phases of the moon in the arch.

The case is in excellent condition and the movement is nice and clean all working as it should and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

233cm (92") high

56cm (22") wide

25cm (10") deep

Free local delivery (75mls), national and international delivery arranged.
