Description

William IV mahogany longcase clock the swan neck pediment above the white enamelled dial, indistinctly signed J Clarke, Preston with subsidiary date and seconds dial, the spandrels painted with flowers and leaves, the two train eight day movement with a Finnimor false plate, anchor escapement, striking on a bell, the case having fluted quarter columns inlaid with stringing raised upon a panelled plinth base with re-entrant angles, canted corners raised upon a plinth base and ogee bracket feet
