Gents 1950s Mudu Doublematic Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A vintage 1950s gents MuDu Doublematic wrist watch.

The watch has an automatic-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped MuDu, 25 jewels, Swiss.

The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The rose gold plated case has light surface marks but overall is in nice condition for a 1950s piece. The screw on case back is stamped MuDu, Doublematic, stainless steel back, Swiss made, automatic, incabloc and waterproof although, as with any vintage watch, I would not rely on it being waterproof.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed MuDu, Doublematic with Swiss made at the bottom. It is in lovely condition with just the lightest of marks. It has its original hands and a date display

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
